The Grim Reaper Rebrand

I never thought thinking about death could be this much fun!

The brief was to imagine it was the year 2123 and assisted dying is legal everywhere.

We were asked to advertise an imaginary product called ‘I’m outta here!’; a DIY assisted dying kit for terminally ill people, available at all pharmacies by prescription.

It gave me the opportunity to play in one of my favourite genres; dark humour.

I loved sinking my teeth into this idea. I tried to think about how this fake product could help, not only those in terrible pain, but death itself!

From entries all over the world, my script was chosen as the winner by Dan Cole (Executive Creative Director @ Havas London), who said:

“Of all the entries, Roisin's really demonstrated a clever use of humour and frankly, made me smile each time I read it. A strong, simple idea and well written. It also managed to bring a lovely human side to that old familiar ‘face of death’ - old Grim Reaper even became quite likeable.
